Do You Vote?
Ask a Question
had a discussion with a younger colleague re voting and was shocked when they said they dont vote- how do you guys feel about it, regardless of political alignment etc
I always vote. The polling station is very close to where I live, so it would be rude not to. Although, I'm usually not happy with the result. I have such a low opinion of politicians. They are meant to represent us, but instead lie, mislead, cherry pick their figures, blame others for their own mistakes, constantly avoid answering questions, etc
I know how you feel this was our debate as they said it didnt change anything and I feel if you dont vote then absolutely nothing will change! thanks for your comment
Ive got to be honest ive only voted once. I dont understand what we are voting for half the time and if i try to read up on it i just get confused.
Definitely vote, though it never usually goes my way!
For anyone who isn't sure who to vote for, or why they should, this is a great website you can use - just answer some questions and it'll basically tell you what political parties you align with, both overall, and per question:

It's a shame really that people aren't forced to do this, because it's clear so many people vote for parties (and other things...) that aren't actually good for them. If only they realised.
RoseH check this out. I hope you find it useful. It should give you a good idea of what parties you align to, based on what you find important.
