Wales Goes into Lockdown at Midnight 19th December

Shut down at midnight tonight (19th December), only one day to spend with your family over Xmas and then a minimum of a 3 week lockdown.
From what I just read it is no mixing at all, not even one day, for Wales and the south east of England. 17 million people are floored by this and I feel desperately sorry for those who will spend it totally alone, including me! So much money spent on food, drink and presents all to no avail. He was stupid to have even thought his original plan would work. He seems to be one step behind at every turn. I am not dissing him because I can appreciate it is the worst job to have (PM) at the mo, but I truly believe he wasn't capable of dealing with this and Brexit and I bet he wouldn't have wanted the job if he had known how it would pan out.
Lynibis We're allowed to spend one day together over Xmas, which is not going to help matters imo.
Poor old Boris is on a hiding to nothing because he took advice from his minions and not the WHO/Chief Medical Advisor.
It's going to be shocking in the new year, but I hope that you all dodge the bullet that the governments have given us.

TheChimp I don’t blame just boris, it’s 50/50 between government and public. Of course a third lockdown is coming, this was mentioned when he said we could have 5 days.
Getsome Great plan ! You should be Prime Minister , USA President , German Chancellor etc ,etc ...... Why did all the world leaders not think of that amazing plan ?
I'm in Scotland but I've been living in lockdown the whole time. I only go out once a week for the food and I only started doing that in the last few months. Scotland is going into lockdown on boxing day. It won't affect me as I never came out of lockdown.
Mixing on Christmas day is not going to help, there will be a spike in cases.
