Watch out for Nintendo Switch scammers on Amazon

Other

Amazon's marketplace has recently been infected with loads of new sellers which you know, they're most definitely made up accounts by the same person to attempt and steal said customer's money.

This has happened (or still does) on the American Amazon too so Amazon really needs to put an end to it.

Only purchase from sellers who actually have built up a good feedback score instead of zero score sellers.

Thanks for the heads up! Never had the misfortune of a scammer on amazon. How are they at handling it? Do amazon usually take charge and refund? Or are you left fending for yourself?

Hi Kelsey, they don't seem to be handling it. Just noticed earlier today that another new "seller" made low price listings on a bunch of different products that go for £50+.

Amazon needs to fix it asap.

My understanding is that when you buy, you end up with a large delivery window, by the end of the window, amazon can't/won't do anything because it's passed the refund period (I think)

nathan3007 That's about it. The seller can keep on saying "The product will arrive in 5 days" and then another "Sorry, we've just had the confirmation the item will for sure be with you in 10 days" so on and so forth, leading it to the 30 day deadline when the customer is unable to get his/her money back.

Ultimately, he/she would need to do a chargeback then for being scammed.
