Do You Wear Glasses?
Ask a Question
Do you enjoy wearing them? Are they part of you or part of your outfit? Do they annoy? They annoy me as I keep having to take them on and off depending what Iโm doing.
I wear glasses for driving and watching TV.
Anything that makes me look half way intellectual is fine by me.
Not yet but i think the time has come, when im able too, i'll be paying a visit to the opticians. But as you say i think they may annoy me as i only seem to need then when reading something
I do , varifocals for the last few years so wear them all the time . Used to them now and don't trip over kerbs so often ! Main issue I have with them is playing golf in the rain or mist as I'm sure you can imagine .
Have done so almost all my life. Itโs annoying that I canโt see without them, but theyโre a part of me. Definitely canโt say I โenjoyโ wearing them though
I have worn glasses since the age of 17 or so. The problem I have with them is that I also have tinnitus so that hearing/tinnitus aids I have compete with the glasses for space behind my ears. Now with the covid situation I also have a hairband competing for the same space due to 'lockdown hair' so, yes, lately I have found the whole thing annoying.
Yeah been wearing glasses since 16 years old. I don't mind it all. I look good with the right frames on, my wife likes it on me. I'll wear contacts now and then when playing football or cricket my local club
For years I refused to wear them out of vanity but now they are part of me. I went from barely there frames to thick ones as I went on. I only need them for reading and close work though
Yep. I currently wear a lovely pair of dark purple Karen Millen glasses. My eyesight is shocking without them. Wear them all the time. I did put off wearing them for years due to vanity until I couldn't manage any longer. I hated wearing them initially but not bothered now. I'd rather be able to see.
Annoying wearing them with a mask tho as they sometimes steam up.
Wear them all the time, don't really think much about them other than it allows me to see, if I could go without them I feel that would be preferable but won't do contacts nor surgery
I've worn glasses since I was 12. Started off just for seeing the board at school but by the time I was 14 I had to wear them all the time.
I like my glasses. I did get contacts 6 years ago so I could wear them on my wedding day and when I was a bridesmaid for my mother in law. I had to get used to them so had to wear them all the time. I had just started a new job at the time, I remember the pupils and teachers in my department being shocked the first time they saw me wearing glasses as they had no idea I had contacts in. I didn't mind wearing my contacts, but I did find them hard to put in at times and a nightmare to take out. I wore them for special occasions only after I got married and I haven't worn them in 2 and a half years. I stopped my quarterly delivery of them about 4 years ago, I wore them to friends weddings or nights our until I ran out of them.
My glasses are so easy to put on in the mornings and I don't need to think about them for the rest of the day. I think that they are part of who I am.
I wear glasses i did when I was young then stopped then few years ago found couldn't see that good so I wear glasses all the time now I'm long and short sighted I'm not so confident how I look but one thing I do think are ok are my eyes hidden behind my glasses haha my mum always tells me I have the most beautiful eyes but then she is my mum lol xx
I had worn glasses for many years since I was 10, but 9 years ago went for laser surgery , and that was The best money spent . Love not having contacts nor glasses , and being able to see clear.
I had the laser treatment done many years ago but now I do need reading glasses. They did warn me this might happen. I did have very happy years without glasses and it was money well spent.
So this is me lol
yep I wear glasses lol x
No so confident so don't get see my whole face x
I wear glasses for using the computer, on the advice of my optician. (I work in IT) they filter out blue light which is emitted from screens.
