Did You Wear a Poppy Today/yesterday
Ask a Question
I noticed less people wearing their poppies this year, not sure if it is a generation thing. What are your thoughts
I did wear one on Saturday as I was out, didn't go out yesterday but observed the silence.
Yes I did on Sunday, also went to a service, however I did not wear one today as it was not practical but did observe the two min silence. At the service there was a lot of 20 - 30 year olds with their children
I dont normally wear one, but do observe the silence. That said I cant recall actually seeing any on sale this year
i didnt wear a poppy as I went to my usual supermarket expecting to get one there but they were not selling any which I think is the first time I can remember that happening. Always observe the silence, think its the very least I can do.
Yes, we had a small wreath laying at our church on Monday, better attended than I had expected. We all wore poppies and several wreaths were laid as a mark of respect to all combatants, in all wars, whether they returned or not. The silences were observed on Sunday and Monday
Yes I wear a poppy every year, all of my local supermarkets had a stall selling badges and bracelets etc. Someone also sells them at work.
