Weird Question About Changing PAYG Electricity
Other
Hi
I changed my token PAYG electricity from SSE to another provider recently (better deal) and today I had a letter from SSE saying that I have a credit balance of £xxx and they are sending me a cheque for that amount over the next few days, has anyone had this happen before from SSE or another provider?
Thanks

I've had that happen before. Sometimes if you were actually paying more than you should've been for whatever reason, they'll send you a cheque for what they owe you, rather than altering it later within what you pay. This would be the case if you changed provider as they couldn't alter your rate to give you back what they owed you. I only got about £15 back myself when this happened, but every little helps as they say.
