What's Your Favourite Advertising Slogan?
Ask a Question
We were talking the other day about old adverts, do you remember "the milky bars on me" or " watch out, watch out, there's a Humprey about" (milk). Nowadays I dont watch adverts as I watch programmes on Catch Up & fast forward through the adverts. So do you think the days of advertising slogans being apart of the national psyche?
I have a few favourites but today they would be reported to ofcom for being offensive or wrongly worded
I know what you mean, in the 1960s there was one from the Egg Marketing Board "Go to work on an egg" This caused a woman to dream that she was an egg and when she woke found a man was going to work on her.
The supermarkets still have slogans. One that was never famous and was banned but brought a lot of attention to one business was Sofa King - our prices are Sofa King low.
