When is the Last Time You Watched a Black and White Film?
Ask a Question
The other day I was watching a black and white film, I can't remember what one, and my son came into the room and I ask him if he wanted to watch & he said he never watched black and white films.
I guess my last time would be last Christmas, when I watched the 1951 Version of A Christmas Carol, and It's a Wonderful Life.
I watched a black and white movie this week. I think the timeless movie are really special
Earlier this year, I watched The Elephant Man. I have it on DVD and have seen it before a few times, but watched it not long after lockdown started.
Probably a very long time a go. Or maybe never, they’ve never captured my attention which is quite sad really because I’m sure there are fabulous films I’m missing out on!
Quite often really as they actually have acting in them, they don't rely on CGI. Casablanca is the one I watch most often as I have a copy and don't have to wait for some channel to deign to play it.
A brilliant film, fantastic love story, great writing & acting. I watch it (very) regularly.
If it's December 1941 in Casablanca, what time is it in New York?
You know, Rick, I have many a friend in Casablanca, but somehow, just because you despise me, you are the only one I trust.
Not too long ago, because Tim Burton made one of his animations black and white...some years ago.
I'm more than happy to watch B&W films and often buy them on DVD/Blu-Ray. The last one I watched was Ikarie XB-1, directed by Jindřich Polák, it's an influential early 60s Czech Sci-fi film
Dead man with Johnny Depp not a classic filmed in black and white for effect I like watching Charlie Chaplin movies too
Not long ago.
Anne Shirley's Anne of Green Gables
I fell asleep so I probably should rewatch it as I think I missed most of it.
Last night. Sky movies/now movies has a Robert Pattinson film called The Lighthouse out now and was filmed in black and white
beccatavender It was weird but interesting and I think i enjoyed it more because it was that bit different to most movies out in the last few years
It was Psycho for me.
Haven't watched it in a long long time.
Might watch it with my wife on 31/10. Either that or Halloween (not that that is B&W).
Watched quite a few great black and white films recently - Roma, The Artist and Schindler‘s List.
Last year I watched 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' with my dad... it was to humour him really ...but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
It’s been a very long time. I remeber when they made us watch Schindler's list in school - we all hated it as it wasn’t in colour
