When Do You Start Wrapping Christmas Presents?
Ask a Question
I just started today only done a few not finished buying yet but don't like to have to do too much at once. When do you start
I have wrapping up presents, so every year I say I am going to do it little and often but usually end up doing some in November in time to post to family in Wales, the rest the week before Christmas.
beccatavender I love wrapping. My partner's family only want Amazon voucher so probably get sent online (boring) I still don't know what I'm getting for some people
Imnotcheap I hate giving vouchers or £ as I love thinking about that person and what they would like, plus with deals they get more, as I set a budget and spend up to that, but I do give family the choice
beccatavender same here but I've given up on his side. For everyone in my house I have a spreadsheet on phone so they get same amount. Everyone else just goes in Christmas list book
slightfoot I have a few wrapped and plan to wrap more next week but as usual panicking about getting everything ready on time
I don’t wrap anything with wrapping paper. I use christmas bags with a draw string that is long enough to make a bow which can be used year after year
TracyStorrie that option is getting more popular. I buy paper when its cheap after Christmas
Imnotcheap it is. I’ve been doing that for about 8 years now. Saved a fortune on wrapping paper and time. I also have carpal tunnel and wrapping presents it’s too painful
I’ve already wrapped some and handed to friends on the weekend, in case I don’t see them before Christmas
I always leave it until the last minute to wrap. I had a fall/ trip in March this year and have a spiral fracture of my left humerus. Not funny lol. This year, I have stocked up on Temus offers of large gift bags. My presents this year are going into them . No wrapping and a legitimate reason
nadinegregg70 my dad uses those bags. It was always my mum who wrapped.
Hope you have a good Christmas and feel better
I was always one of those who left it all until the night before but last year I thought I’d try and be organised and wrap as I bought them. Downside being I’d forgotten some of what I’d bought and ended up with duplicates
MicheEagle I've already started. Can't get time off work in December so need to be organised
January. Buy and wrap what you can. But keep a list and don't top up just because you spent so little in January. Just get it all out at the beginning of December! Be organised
comriegold I only really start after last birthday which is October so not as organised as you
comriegold I'm nearly done now to be fair 2 people left but no idea what to get them
Bought my turkey frozen in February. Was reduced from £35.00 to £4.50. I'm determined not to overspend this year
comriegold I'm running freezer down to create enough space for Christmas goodies now and looking out for a good deal on Turkey ect
SaveMeSunday I do the Christmas cooking on Christmas eve and this year looks like I will have to work but improvement on last year when I worked Christmas day
My partner has bought cloth bags on Latest Deals so put presents for daughter & I in & we can do the same, these can be used again & again!
Imnotcheap ...Good idea just putting bulky presents into bags too saves all the hassle of wrapping & wasting paper, getting cellotape twisted & unusable!
I start wrapping as soon as I buy them with the idea to wrap as I buy - but as always I’ve bought more than I’ve wrapped!! X
Be good to start wrapped Christmas gifts mid November early December that’s when I do mine lol
I don't. Christmas according to psychologists, is where those that give gifts or money, are seeking the admiration of the receiver, a time for narcissists. So those that give gifts or money, are according to psychologists, narcissists.
I have 11 grandchildren so I wrap as i shop or I would end up finding it too overwhelming to do !
I have 8 grandkids 5 adult ddsmd and a few others I buy for I do not wrap anything all goes in big sacks also do charity Xmas gifts for care homes a hostel for young people at end of my street so way too much to do
I love watching the younger grandkids tearing the wrapping off the presents- they dont really pay attention to what they have just unwrapped but just go straight to the next one to unwrap. Then when everything is unwrapped they go back to see what they got lol
