Why Net Neutrality Matters Not Only for US Citizens but for Others as Well

Other

In short, this is the definition of Net Neutrality:

the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites.

If you prefer a video, here's one:

You may think, "why should I care about an American problem?" because issues like these are interconnected between countries and UK is no different. Theresa May wants to push for internet censorship but hey, let's blame the Russians again, right? 😐

My UK ISP (Sky) is already blocking me from accessing certain websites which they deem "inappropriate" so I'm forced to use a VPN of my preference (Kaspersky VPN - it's only £19.99 yearly) in order to use the web freely.

Could you imagine if LatestDeals and other money saving websites (takes away profit from bigger corporations) were labelled as "problem content" by the UK govt? That could happen as they are the ones who define what passes and what doesn't.

Anyway, I've tried various UK ISPs and came to the conclusion that they are pretty much all the same with some minor differences here and there. There's no perfect one or superior, just one that can work out better (or you get used to it).
