the Window or the Aisle Seat?
Ask a Question
I have always loved being by the window, however as I have gotten older, I understands the practicality of being by the aisle , particularly on planes as I often get up to walk around and don’t fancy climb over other people - the window offers great views but you are trapped in most of the journey
do you have a seating preference
Aisle for me as I hate feeling trapped, especially on long haul flight. I can do window for short flights though
I use seatguru.com (which has seat maps of aircraft by airline and flight no.) to help me identify the best (and worst) seats. On some planes for example where the tail narrows there are two seats not three (next to the windows) - perfect for couples, and lots more elbow room. Don't choose the last row though as your seat may not fully recline and/or you may be bothered by the loo queue! What I especially try to avoid is seats with those ruddy 'box of electronics' in the footwell!
Thanks for sharing. It’ll be useful, as I’ve only ever looked at the plane layout when checking in online.
Always do, but when the flights are 12-14 hours, I’d need to go at least one or two more times. And I do my exercises onboard too
hspexy I try to book the back seats.....saves having kids and drunk men kicking your seat!
I like looking out the window but from an aisle seat, I am too chicken to sit by the window lol. Sounds terrible. Best part about having an infant with you is that you get the extra leg room seats in the middle of the bigger planes so thats my preference at the moment. Also easy access to the toilet if you need a pee lol
Window seat every time. I love it on a plane, train, anything looking out of the window. Aisles are for those who need the loo.
Always choose an aisle seat if I can. I do not like bothering people to squeeze past when I want to nip to the loo. Plus usually I travel with my partner who always bags the window seat.
Got to be the window....on the way there. I hate being by the window on the way back....clouds etc.....
Depends if I'm with friends or family window seat is preferable though I rarely get that seat then, if there are going to be strangers next to me aisle seat as if I wish to get something out of the overhead lockers, walk around or use the toilet I don't have to disturb people I don't know.
I prefer the window seat for longer flights, but don't mind the aisle. Not a fan of the middle, or even worse the middle of the middle row on larger planes.
iv never been on a plane but are going to in a few weeks time ,
and im sitting near the window hope i like it
id rather the window but i dont mind being on the aisle seat if i have to. Couldnt cope in the middle though trapped between 2 people
