Woman Covers House with 1,000 Poppies That Took Her 11 Months to Make

In the News

What a fantastic and innovative way to raise funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund, inspired by the 2014 poppy installation at the Tower of London.

I can't believe these are made of recycled plastic bottles !

There is a just giving page if you are interested.

I was lucky enough to see the original art installation in Hull when it was touring. It was quite emotional realising each poppy represent a fallen comrade.

I hope she raises lots of £, she is hoping to raise £400 when I went on to the just giving page she was at 87% of this target

beccatavender The fact that it's now on a news website means she is sure to smash that £400

I posted this today, Remembrance Day: Knitted poppy display born out of Covid lockdown

but it was removed, as I think it's too similar, but I wanted to share this fantastic photo

I just keep coming across, fantastic photos about art installations to commemorate the day this time it's Wooden statue of soldier unveiled on Armistice Day, I can't believe it was carved just using a chainsaw.

As you may know, I am actively seeking good news stories, and art makes me 🙂

With the added bonus of being meaningful
