What WON'T You Cut Back on at Christmas?
Ask a Question
What is one thing at Christmas that you refuse to scrimp on?
For me, I won't cut back on a nice Yule Log and brandy butter.
I'm pretty happy to cut back on most things to be honest. Last year our turkey crown was bought reduced on Christmas eve, it still tasted amazing. I make sure we have what we need but I don't go overboard. There are plenty of things I will happily cut back on.
martinlufc5637 yeah same with my family we shop around see which place has the best prices
Lol we won boxes of mince pies from the M&S 12 days of Christmas giveaways! We never buy them
Nothing for me it's the normal shop but extra munchies as after Christmas dinner we eat crap for the rest of the night
Fortunately, we don't have to cut back on anything and after the crappy year we've had, we're going full out
Xmas is the one time of year I don't eat too much, I don't think I particularly enjoy Xmas foods. My side of the family can't figure out what to get anyone for Xmas so no one is getting anything from anyone but I will still splash out on niece and nephews
We buy enough food to last us a few days, a few treats but not too many,we don't need them & the cupboards have the essentials we need,we don't go overboard, there are only three of us & my partner's brother who spends Christmas Day with us from around 2pm til early hours of Boxing Day..
janphoenix51 I am awaiting the after Christmas sales, when the Christmas stock is heavily reduced by 50% -70%. That's when I really, really enjoy going shopping!
Food it is a big part of Christmas and brings people together . But I always buy to much chocolate and have again this year!
We were literally cutting back on everything until circumstances changed and I had all the family round on Christmas Day. So food was the one thing we needed.
