Recently been quoted £255 for a 6 x8 foot fence with one concrete post. Is this a normal price or should I get other quotes?
If that's to fit one fence panel and one post then I think it's steep but don't you have to have a concrete footer base panel as well? (that would be £50 for the post and panel plus your fence another £20) Labour is high if roots have to be removed to sink the post.
Very expensive! Try doing it yourself, you can youtube how to do it. If not definitely get another quote x
I would have suggested the same but the posts are incredibly heavy and a nightmare to get upright. and set into concrete. Unless there are some very strong individuals who could help it would be better to pay someone to do it.
Teams of fencing men round here are charging a small fortune after the storms we’ve had. Most people claim from their insurance then regret it when the next renewal extortionate quote comes in and of course you have to declare that’s you’ve claimed when looking for a new insurance company.
I've not got a fence, only one of those wire ones, although I love my next door neighbours, you just want some privacy in the garden in the summer.
Always get several quotes. I do mine myself normally but fence panels won't fit in my car or work van so having to pay someone to do it and for 6 panels it worked out at £105
That's good, think that bloke was trying to rip me off. Just noticed another firm with decent prices. I'm waiting for him to give me a quote.
