Worlds Tallest Woman Takes Her First Plane Flight
In the News
24-year-old Rumeysa Gelgi (L) from Turkey , who stands 7 feet, 0.7 inches tall and has been confirmed as the world's tallest living woman by Guinness World Records took her first flight on a plane from Istanbul, Turkey, to San Francisco
To accommodate her they needed to remove six seats from the cabin and then she needed to lie flat on a stretcher for the journey
Thank goodness she wasn't flying Ryanair, she probably would have ended up in the cargo hold or strapped to the wing

That sort of height is a death sentence really, its likely her organs haven't scaled up to her size so she is weak and prone to an early death. Some people are tall with organs to match but those people never get to be the tallest people just very tall. I remember seeing a life expectancy by height and I seem to remember a drop off in life expectancy after maybe 6'3" or maybe 6'4" for men which would be even less for women maybe 6' or so. Most people who get to live beyond 100 years are relatively short. While larger animals typically live longer it is the smaller examples of that animal that seem to last longest. I.e. organs that have an easy time of it because the bodies are lighter.
