Yankee Candle vs. Yankee Candle Home Inspiration?

Ask a Question

I was wondering if anyone knows is there a difference between Yankee Candle & Yankee Candle Home Inspiration and if there is, what is it?

TheChimp I agree if you buy straight from their website but if you shop around online you can usually get them for under a tenner

Queenofdeals786 I have an original large chocolate egg one which I bought from Debenhams for around Β£8. It is soooooooooo strong and we can only have it on for a little while.

Harvey has been poorly, but he seems to be a bit better today after the vet gave him some medicine yesterday evening

The home inspiration ones are the cheaper version that they make and have different scents. They don't burn for as long but still better than paying for the original Yankee ones.

Both ranges are created by Yankee Candle.

Think of them as your supermarket essential food range vs the premium ranges (don't eat them though! 🀣 )

From what I understand and as an avid Yankee fan (sadly I have to be super careful with my breathing so downsized my scented candle collection massively, almost entirely πŸ˜”)

I believe the Home Inspiration range contain less oils and the although the jars seem similar in size, the large ones are actually a fair bit smaller in the Inspiration range as the jars are more slender.

Original Yankee Large Jars are 623g and the Inspiration Large Jars are only 538g - almost mid way between the Original Medium and Large. Designs and style are slightly different too.

Although they have less wax and less oils, I wouldn't say it always means less throw though. I've had some of the Original Yankee range that barely had any throw, but then I've had really strong scent from the Inspirations range and visa versa. Some people say they don't last as long, but that is likely because they haven't realised they are a fair bit different in size. And the Original Yankee Candles are more collectible in general and you often find them in different sizes. I'd imagine because they are smaller the accessories aren't likely to fit either and a Yankee Candle tends to burn well with proper care of wick trimming and with an illuma lid, and leaving for the correct pooling sessions.

DeBunny don't eat them though lol. That actually made me lol simply because if I have a jar candle burning, my husband always asks "what flavour is that one" 😣 lol x

DeBunny another one is also "what smell is it" lol πŸ˜… on that subject another thing i can I can't get my head around is that its actually someone's job, paid career, to sit in a room, smell a scent and decide "yip, oh yeah, that one definitely smells like the tears of an African Elephant πŸ˜† so thats what we will call it"!! I mean....I'd love to know the process pmsl πŸ˜‚
