Do Yorkshire Puds Belong on Xmas Dinner?
Ask a Question
Settle an office debate for me - Do Yorkshire Puddings belong on Christmas Dinner?
I say yes but Tom says absolutely not!
A traditional one probably not but there will definitely be some on our Christmas dinner. The good thing about home cooking is you have it the way you like it
Leannexxx I don't mind peas on it but I think mushy peas would get washed out with the amount of gravy I like to have on mine lol
We don’t for Christmas as we have so much veg but I say if you want them and fancy them then have them!!
SamGoodship We have carrots, green beans, parsnips, cabbage and a lot of it. Personally I don’t have cabbage as I don’t like it but I’m extremely partial to roast parsnips, I love them.
Traditionally no, but we always do and what does it matter if it's what you enjoy, each to their own .
Technically or Traditionally, NO. but I like them on there. I could eat a Yorkshire Pudding with any Roast Dinner anyways as It does not really matter to be honest.
If you want them on your Christmas dinner then have them! We don't have them as there is already loads on the plate but if you want it then go for it!
Not my choice lest it be like any other Sunday Roast but if you likes em that much why ever not?
Hell yeah. Always in my roast dinners. Don't care for tradition we like them so we have them
who decides what is tradition? My family always had them with Christmas dinner. Can live without them myself the family love them
Yes they do for me, me mom makes, they are the best, huge with a great rise, I'm rubbish at Yorkshire's, so we all look forward to mom's at Christmas,it's the only time we get them as she doesn't live local
In my house yes they do and any Sunday roast. My brother on the other hand will only do Yorkshire Puds if they have beef even though we always had them with all meat growing up.
100% they do! Yorkshire puddings are one of the best parts of a roast so for sure they have to be included at Christmas. I know traditionally they wouldn’t go with turkey but i don’t think anyone cares anymore
We always have it every time when it’s Christmas dinner I don’t see why not they are delicious with gravy and goes well with pigs in blanket
Yes,we might have Irish roots but my partner has lived in Sheffield most of his life,I'm from here & so is our daughter,so YORKSHIRE''S for YORKSHIRE folk, might even have a bit of that SHEFFIELD SAUCE HENDERSON RELISH on our's...
Most definitely yes, Yorkshire puddings belong on every dinner plate. I just love them. Best part of some dinners
We only used to have them with beef, but they're nice with all roasts, so it's a yes from me
I'm from Yorkshire and we are old fashioned Yorkshire folk, we have our puddings before dinner, couple of puddings with gravy then main meal
Yes, it is about the only time I have a roast dinner. If you don't like them though... then well no
I found it off that people have mash potato on their roast dinners, but whatever they want I guess?
