Who else has gone down the Youtube rabbit hole?
I have been down a few times and its scary where you started and ended up 
TheChimp Youtube journey. It’s watching one topic and some time later ending on some other topic and thinking how the hell did I get here
TheChimp spend a bit more time on YouTube and you will find a wonderful collection of interesting people. Yesterday I saw a video of a man on train which was eating,what looked to be, mud off a knee high boot. Might have been staged or not but it looked quite realistic and disturbing
Imnotcheap it’s even more strange where you end up. I was watching some football clips and an hour later was watching the stuff about the residents of north sentinel island
You tube can be great for showing you how to unblock a loo , improve your golf swing or wire up a thermostat . I think I'll leave it at that , thanks !

Didn't realize that was a thing. I thought it was common sense on people knowing how to.

Dislike it, and you probably won't. Or "Don't recommend channel" option.
I have been down the Youtube rabbit hole myself a few times. I love Youtube, but it does take you to some weird and random videos sometimes, usually completely unrelated to where you started off. I use playlists on there more often now so I can stay on topic.
Definitely guilty of this. I watched a video about the Roko’s Basilisk thought experiment and it wasn’t only downhill from there.
Youtube along with facebook and all the other " socials " should be the subject of a judiciary enquiry , anything that subjects people to the kind of public scrutiny that these sites encourage must be considered dangerous to the well being of humanity !

Sometimes I look back at my history to see how the hell I ended up on such random videos. 
Not personally but my kids watch youtube videos and the things my youngest goes through all just from clicking new videos advertised is quite funny to see
You are watching something sweet and innocent, and all of a sudden you somehow find yourself at the wrong side of Youtube. Those who frequently use Youtube have all been there.
