Zoo Visits - Have You Been Recently?

Has anyone been to Zoo recently? What was it like? Both my older children have been and each said it was not good due to lack of animals.
I haven't been to a zoo since I was a child. Think I would have been 13 last time I went. I remember enjoying seeing all the animals. I would only go to the zoo now got my son, although he is too young just now.
I wouldn’t go to the zoo at the moment and kids are never too young to visit the zoo. Also it is a great day out without having children. My daughter in law goes to photograph the animals as photography is her passion. They also do great experience days which my older son did with the penguins. Our local big cat sanctuary does over night stays which is amazing spending the night in the same environment with lions etc.
eyeballkerry I won't be going anytime soon. Plus our local zoo is quite far from us and driving there is a nightmare so it is better getting the bus and taking his pram on the bus is a nightmare. I want him to do an experience day he is far too young at the moment to really get involved and know what is going on.
I haven't been to a zoo in years, but I often walk in and around Regent's Park, which borders London Zoo. There are a few places you can see animals if they are out and about. I often see camels, penguins, zebras, giraffes and more recently warthogs. There is also a place that overlooks one of their meerkat enclosures, but as yet, I've not seen any of them 
Haven’t been to the zoo since last year but loved it as zoos are great for all ages so was perfect for the family. I definitely wont be going to a zoo until this situation is completely sorted out. I would imagine going to a zoo now wouldnt be the same.
