Plant in a sunny spot. Choose a place in the garden which has not been used to grow garlic, shallots or leeks for at least two years. The soil should be open, moisture retentive and well drained. Split the garlic bulb in to individual cloves and plant each clove separately. Space rows 25cm apart. Water well after planting.
