Hyacinths are usually cultivated in a special glass jar which is shaped like an hourglass. It is generally half-filled with water and the bulb placed in the top half. Blue clusters of flowers will brighten any indoor space.

jimmyD Yes it comes with the little glass vase, Fill the vase with water to just beneath the bulb. The water should not touch the bottom of the bulb. Place in a cool (5-10°C), dark and ventilated spot. Check the water level weekly and top up as needed. When the buds are 4 cm high (after 10-12 wks) bring them into a light warm spot (18-20°C).
