Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’ AGM has to be one of our favourite English varieties and is much famed for its nectar-rich, violet-purple flower spikes which are superb for drying and using to add flavour to biscuits, cakes and all manner of summer puddings and desserts. It has a neat and bushy habit, makes a wonderful aromatic hedge and thrives in pots on a bright and sunny patio.
