You can do that all yourself. Not as if they are checking your brake Pads. Oil, coolant level it’s a waste of time. I’m sure people know how to check their bulbs. Battery check is not a proper battery check.

Hopefully this isn’t one of the things where they offer you a free check I did tell you you need tons of work that Costs loads of money
JonathanBulmer the free check we do covers checking the bulbs,blades,battery,windscreen and if you want an MOT reminder. Most these things don't cost too much apart from maybe the battery. It comes down to what brands you want to pay for and if you want any fits.
I don’t drive any more but will tell all people I know who do to take advantage of this great offer
There are some other free checks they do too. About year or two ago I booked an early slot 8:30am was told that I would revive a call once completed but that did not happen for over 2 hours. They give priority to paying customers so don't expect anything on time.
Ajman2001 I think it depends on the store and the person. Halfords is changing just now as its paying attention to all complaints and trying to fix where they can. In the store I work in we prioritise by who was first. I might be losing my job as now they are only wanting specialists in the shop to help prevent any waiting times and make sure customers can go to anybody to get advice instead of having a colleague for each thing.
