Tom's 3 Extra Tips to Save £100s on Meals Out

I save over £100 every month eating out at restaurants using these three simple tips:

  1. Meerkat Meals - Get a quote for an insurance policy at Compare The Market and you can get Meerkat Meals for free. This is similar to Tastecard and gives you two-for-one on food all year round.
  2. Soft Openings - Read your local newspaper for news of new restaurants opening. Very often they do a "soft launch" which is usually half price on food. In London, I subscribe to The Nudge which tells you about all the new restaurants opening in the city. You can also search Twitter via your location, or Instagram too.
  3. Too Good To Go - When cafes and restaurants close they often throw away huge amounts of unsold food. Too Good To Go is a free app through which you can buy this unsold food at massive discounts. Last week I got £20 worth of sushi for £3.
