REVIEWS
- Never been a fan of The Co-Operative Electrical. I don't like using their website at all either, it's not very well laid out at all and they never seem to stock a wide range of items either. I fink them to be quite expensive and they are not competitive at all in any way compared to other stores and even their sales items you can get cheaper elsewhere most of the time. You can still get good deals though if you will search for Co-op Electrical discount codes on sites like Latest Deals. Used once as I needed a kettle very quickly but not a company I plan to use anytime in the future i'm afraid. SRFMLY
- I have to say that i recently visited the Co-Operative Electrical department to see what they had and I was pleasantly surprised by the items they stocked and the prices. they are fairly priced and they had a few offers on, I ended up buying a condenser dryer at a good price and they delivered it too. Obviously they don't have the same amount of stock and choice on items as other stores but for what they have got I think it reasonable and you can always get bargain deals from voucher codes online. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, I would recommend them for all those factors and also they work with the welsh discretionary assistance fund if you are on benefits and in need of help. zararoberts86
- I bought my condenser dryer from Co-Operative Electrical online a few years ago now. I came across their site by accident as I didn't know they had an electrical site. At the time their prices were much lower than their rivals and I got free delivery. Couldn't fault their service and you can get massive discounts from voucher codes online. Don't know what they like nowadays to use but if I needed something I would definitely give them a look. funwithlisa

The Co-Op Reviews

Went to the main co-op in my town to my do a big shop as I had some vouchers to use, the products in the shop were as expected, all the usual stuff at competitive prices, the shop was clean, however the problem arose when I got to the checkouts, there was a set of self service tills, but no manned checkouts except for the lotto and cigarette counter,I do prefer to use a human till when doing a big shop, but nevermind I went through the self service, got that done, no issues. I then went over to the manned counter, for a lotto ticket and some rizzla papers, to my suprise there was 4 customers in front of me all putting full trolly loads through and not purchasing anything that you can only get at the lotto/ cigarette counter, meanwhile all 8 self service machines sat idle, as did the 2 other members of staff sat on the step stalls at the back of the shop by the freezers having a good gossip, the 1 poor guy working on the tills looked exasperated, 35 minutes of queuing later and I finally got served

Love The Co-Op, they always have excellent deals for both members and non-members. The Members app also offers little discounts tailored to your previous purchases meaning you can save on your regular shopping list. I would definitely advise people to sign up to become a member. The products are always of a good quality too. 5 stars from me!

I had a lovely shopping experience in our local coop. I have started getting back into cooking and baking again and I was shopping for ingredients and looking for some inspiration. The girls in there were so friendly and helpful and one of them even gave me a family recipe to try out. The quality of the ingredients is absolutely first class. It's a great company and really does offer a personal touch.

Had netflix for years never anything new on there to watch waste of time prices are ok but could be better with more movies never used a voucher or had a refund customer service good would be good if the put more movies on there website and have never had a delivery

I use to shop here all the time before I moved and always found the quality of food a good standard and the prices were fair. I always found myself a bargain or three if I searched. The store was not the best for cleanliness and staff could have been more attentive but I think that reflected in the prices.

I live on a small island and there are 2 Co-op shops. They prices are very steep which puts everyone off going. Disappointing that the Co-op feel they have to hike the prices up when they have a Captive audience. They do have a reasonable choice and some of the deals are worth it.

This shop is great for basic shopping with great customer service, in general you can pop in for a full week shop or just a top up using the till with a cashier or the machines which are quick and simple with an automated guide on step to step how to do it. i do find it a little pricey but there club cards too if you shop regularly. i don't shop regularly there but i wanted to write a review in as many places as possible as this happened earlier this week and the shop in Lincolnshire was great, my friend got lost in one of the shops trying to find something and due to mental health she was getting rather worked up, the staff there were great in helping calm her and direct her to the correct part and even sorted out the shopping for her waiting until i caught up with her having been in a different shop. Its services like that, that give me joy and pride in my hometown.

Took my daughter in to spend her pocket money as she was so excited to get some sweets.
I have never in my life witnessed a retail assistant as rude as she was. We all have bad days but there was no manners and she really upset my daughter.
It’s put me off shopping there

I do like shopping here because u live close to a coop. However the downside is they are very high priced compared to all other supermarkets which can be annoying. If I travel a bit further or even walk 10.min extra I can get the same shopping for at least 5-10 pound less at times. However they have recently had better deals since the pandemic and had some very reasonable offers at time which has been great! Customer service is good however and till staff are always friendly from my experience at my two local stores!

I have been a member of this co-operative (The Phone Co-op) for many years, having my mobile phone SIM only contract with them, and also my landline and internet. What I like most about my mobile phone contract is that if I go out of my local area, my phone is able to pick up the strongest signal, which means that I am rarely without any signal whatsoever, even in rural Norfolk and Lincolnshire. Love that security, and at a very reasonable price as well.

Well, firstl my local Co-Op must be a good employer to work for, as the staff have all worked there for years! Give or take the odd arrival of a baby or two... The staff are welcoming, which compared to one or two other stores who remain unnamed, can't be said for their employee(s)!
The store is clean, shelves well stocked. I know locally it's said the Co-Op are too dear, for everyday products, but they are a convenience shop after all.
What I especially like about my local Co-Op is the fact - and it seems to be a little known one, that they accept student cards. Meaning for my household a saving of 10% off the price of the majority of our in-store shopping. So the store is affordable to us.
This especially helps with items already on offer!
The one downside I can think to mention is the trolleys could do with being replaced! They are years old, and could probably benefit from a power wash, at least. They replaced the baskets, but gave no thought to the trolleys, but hey-ho that's my only gripe with shopping at the Co-Op.

Magical dream to the UK best cuppa indulge in rich and deep flavour of sweetness body and blend of the best cuppa you had . Every flavour of tea infusion you could think of great gifts and crockery and Shere quality in pwrsison and the best tea maker in the country

I use the Coop daily, most of the staff are very helpful, happy and efficient. Very well stocked and priced correctly. I do find their prices expensive on some products. Quality of food is good. Customer service is brilliant, sometimes there is only one person on the till and a huge queue, but there are 3 tills not in use....?!?
Generally on the whole for convenience more, I think the coop is good.

My local is always welcoming with a smile on there faces and always there to help when needed. If something isn't there they help to let me know when its going to be coming into stock for me to come back and collect. Im hopefully looking into a job in my local one too.
From one Happy Customer 😊

There prices are reasonable in comparison to other supermarkets. However Love there deals especially the £5 deals.
It is worth getting a Co op card, you get weekly deals of money off coupons that you can choose the offer best for you, free gifts and each swipe earns you cash too.
They always have stock aswell which is a big deal in present times.
They also support local groups and charities which is also great.

Brilliant work by the co-op over this difficult period of time, they have had the shelves almost full and the staff are in my opinion some of the best. We even had some cabin crew working in our local one when they got made redundant. I would definitely recommend the coop to anyone else and they are a much more modern organisation now.

I have been using the coop over the lockdown period and have been extremely impressed with their measures to protect their staff as well as customers. My local has just started doing online delivery so tried it for the first time yesterday and it was stress free and highly recommend it.

With a Co-Op but a two minute walk from where I live, it is a shop I frequent regularly. It certainly is not the cheapest, but I am willing to pay that little bit extra in exchange for having a shop a stones throw away, and that is open from 7am to 10pm.
The shop is always clean, and the staff friendly. My only slight downgrade is that they seem to stock the shelves on a Friday afternoon, and then that is it until Monday. Heaven help you if you need anything but the essentials on a Sunday afternoon!

I've used a few different Co-Op branches but really can't settle to them. Positives are that the stores are local and good for popping in for those items you suddenly discover you need part way thro a recipe ... and the staff are usually very friendly. On the negative tho, the prices are invariably very high, items can have short UB dates and stock is limited. One local store told me they didn't stock celery! I use my Co-op loyalty card whenever I do shop there and that earns me points but very slowly. I quite often receive vouchers at the till which are linked to my normal purchases and they do offer decent savings. No delivery available from the stores I have used and I've never needed to return an item.

The Co-Op are not cheaper than other supermarkets like Tesco and Asda ect but you can always find what you are looking for. They also offer delivery's to your home on Deliverroo but i have not used this option. I find The Co-Op very good for shopping and my student id gives me 10% off my shopping which is an added bonus. I have also won a £20 gift card in a competition on their website a few months ago which was free to enter.
