I don't do starters, just the main course and pudding, sometimes we're much to full for pudding so don't eat that until later on.

Nickynoo40 I think I'd burst if I had a starter and another thing wouldn't have any room for all them lovely chocolates to nibble on throughout the day 🤣

My mum does a 3 course meal and prepares her food usually day or 2 before Christmas just so she doesnt have too much to do Xmas morning. My mum usually does a soup for starter, main meal then usually a xmas pudding with custard for desert.

My mum normally did a 3 course, but it was spaced out. Starter was normally soup.

I find 3 courses are too much, I feel uncomfortable full. You could go for something light like Parma ham & melon balls, or go old school and do prawn cocktail, no cooking involved 😀

We usually just have the main course and dessert. I think a starter would be too much for me as the main course tends to be quite big.

We usually have a fancy but small starter with the main meal. Even with the best of intentions the pud never gets touched until the next day.

We focus on just a huge Lamb Leg Roast Dinner. Due to the cost of meat nowadays, it is a treat we don't often afford. Then we do a party food buffet on the Evening for family. Though, the dog gets her treats too!.

Just the main - with a pudding much later in the evening. there will be plenty of snacks around so much nibbling will occur between meals over the whole long weekend...

We always have a prawn cocktail around lunch time & the big dinner later on in the day. Pudding tends to get eaten on boxing day along with left overs & any snacks we have bought in.

We have 3 courses, but all spread out throughout the afternoon. Normally choice of prawns or pate for starter. Good as can all be prepped in advance, so no pressure getting it ready!

Small prawn cocktail or pate for starter but the main course is definitely more like a banquet. Everyone is usually too full to eat the pudding but we wait a while and then have cheese and biscuits. Definitely a day of over indulgence.
