Cheap Family Days Out?
Ask a Question
Yesterday I took my children to hack green secret nuclear bunker in Nantwich it was an interesting place and we really enjoyed it then went into nantwich town which was a beautiful little village. Has anyone else been on any lovely days out and recommend somewhere worth a visiting?
I love Hack Green, been on several ghost hunts there, last time I went we had a nightmare getting home, there was an eagle owl sitting in the road and took us ages to cajole it in to moving somewhere safe
There was an owl sitting on the radar I thought it was fake maybe it was actually a real one.
Faye1 very possibly, freaky night that was, need to go back to Hack Green soon

Yesterday i took my daughters to the museum and aquarium in bolton which has free entry and is interactive. Manchester has a science museum which again is aimed at kids and is very interactive and is a few minutes walk from the train station and is free. There are lots of parks, county houses, woods, lakes that dont charge entry you can take bikes, cricket, football and a picnic etc. My youngest loves just going to a local pobd and feeding the ducks then an hour on the park on the way home. Ive taken the kids out for a walk collecting leaves, twigs, feathers etc then go home and make picture collages with them. When the weather is suitable beaches are great, again balls, buckets and spades and a picnic. Theres lots more when its summer of course as a lot of free places are outdoors but even if you get wrapped up and put wellies on kids are hapoy running around splashing in muddy puddles and just enjoying the outdoors x
Iv not been to the Bolton on I shall try that one. We have been to the manchester one. We go on walks and beach and things a lot. I like to try new places all the time with the children. I think in the next holidays we will go eurika we have been before but not for a few years xx
Check out museums in your area or local national trust sites, there's loads of woodland walking areas on my doorstep with children's trails etc that I didn't know about until recently maybe it'll be the same for you
We do a lot where we live but like to go different places and see different things. i don’t mind travelling to see different things. We end up in all sorts of places xx
Royal Armouries museum in Leeds is fantastic for a freebie. Film and TV museum in Bradford is pretty good too but wouldn't travel too far to go to it as its not the biggest but brings back plenty of childhood memories of TV shows you used to watch
You can often collect vouchers in the sun for family days out at theme parks and places like that, just the cost of the newspaper is worth the free tickets. I used to do it every year to go to Alton Towers but stopped recently as the queues are so long there lol!
