I can’t believe it’s still so hard to find a dentist 🤯 I even looked on the NHS website and it had a list of 50 dentist all saying they are not taking on New patients 🤦🏻‍♀️I had a capped front tooth that Fell apart on Monday 😩 I looked on our local dentist website and it said you had to fill in the form they had online so I completed it and I have not even received a reply 🤦🏻‍♀️ to me that is ignorant it doesn’t take that long to email a reply, I even sent them an email that too was ignored, The NHS Website says the same as my local dentist they will only accept new patients that have been referred 🤔except they don’t tell you how to be referred, I tried calling and all I got was Automated Message saying they were too busy to answer calls and if you are not already a patient you need to be referred 🤷🏻‍♀️

Many think the difficulty with finding a dentist is just because of the pandemic, the problem existed long before the pandemic came along. (it's inevitably got worse) Many people had to travel great distances to use a dentist on the NHS. And many will now have to travel abroad to find a dentist they can afford.😀

It’s ludicrous how much our dentists charge it really is shocking £600 if you need a crown 🤯£308 for root canal treatment and I don’t think you can get NHS treatment completely free either, I did read somewhere that said you still have to pay for NHS treatment , but because they can charge what they like it’s no wonder people go abroad

It's a 5 year waiting list where I live, even for children. It's horrendous knowing your teeth need work but not being able to afford private care.

The Dentist near me always used to say you have to be registered with them to be able to get treatment, well according to the NHS website There is no need to register with a dentist in the same way as with a GP because you are not bound to a catchment area.

Simply find a dental surgery that's convenient for you, whether it's near your home or work, and phone them to see if there are any appointments available.

This as been going on years the number of dentists who use to do NHS treatment now only do private same as the government as messed up big time by messing about with paying the dentists plus the government is not making it easy for people to train to become dentist if they had there way they would want us all to go private and have insurance cover it's going on too in hospital's where private companies are taking big parts of the work and services off the NHS as a nurse working in a big hospital they are even trying to nick us staff to come and work in private hospitals health care by offering us more pay and big bonus and tons of benefits etc

Antiwoke I did look on there to see how you can get a referral but it doesn’t say, then I looked at the list of 50 dentists that all said they are not taking new patients and you need to be referred 🤦🏻‍♀️ it also says you don’t have to register with a dentist like you would register with a doctor, but then clicking on that link it says you need to be registered 🤯

Antiwoke I did but it was an automated message saying they were too busy all call handlers were busy, I will try again later today, The annoying thing is I emailed the Dentist I even completed the form online that was supposed to be needed for them to decide if I could see the dentist, I even emailed the NHS website not one Answer, to me that is just ignorant why say complete the form for the appointment if they don’t intend to Reply
