Should visiting Royal Castles be free?

The King is starting to charge local residents to visit Windsor Castle, where entry was previously free. Are taxes not enough to cover entrance fees?

Most places have started charging now, where previously it was free, our taxes pay for these castle's, it should be Free

We are charged tax to pay for the Royal Estates, Castles etc - so no UK tax paying residents should not be expected to pay. I would not object to a voluntary donation but a charge is totally out of the question.

For locals yes. Anyone else should have to pay to visit. Its an attraction after all

I suppose it depends what they will be using the entry fees for really. If it’s going into his pocket then it seems a bit unfair
