But Tom, there might be users who could just give everything a like (I admit saying: "Have a heart" would unintentionally funny, lol) to get points. Then again, honest users who're here to find and post deals won't do that.

Rockman When you have liked a few posts it doesn't award you points any more so people can't abuse the system.

Tom Neato. Is the heart always going to be a heart or will that be changed?

Rockman it's a never ending debate in the LD camp. It takes a short while for new users to understand what the heart is for, but we seem to have overcome many of those barriers now. When you join, there's now an on-boarding process that explains it, plus flashing yellow things highlighting it's there. Plus, when you click it for the first time you now get a reward that describes it as a 'vote'. Then I explain consistently in our newsletter, Facebook, deal descriptions etc., what it is. As with all things, it may change in the future!

When ou reach 5,000 are the points put back down to 0 or do you keep going up? Does that mean at 10,000 you get Β£10 although you oly accrued 5,000 extra points since last time?

Hey RosieWaters you're smashing it with LD points πŸ˜„ After the 5,000 point reward, the next one is 15,000 (not 10,000 as you wrote). Your points keep climbing, it'd be very sad to lose points 😒 ...

At present:

  • 5,000 points = Β£5 Amazon Voucher
  • 15,000 points = Β£10 Amazon Voucher

The difference between 15,000 - 5,000 = 10,000 therefore Β£10 Amazon Voucher.

But before you accept this as fact... Kelsey, please could you double confirm I got this right?

Thanks again for your contributions RosieWaters πŸ‘

Tom Can not be right.....5000points Β£5 than 15000points suppose to be Β£15 ?

AgnesFaludi 5k points are Β£5 so afterwards, it'd seem logical to always add an extra five until it's over.

5k - Β£5

15k - Β£10

50k - Β£15

100k - Β£20

Rockman Yeah than 15k is Β£15 and 50k Β£50 if not, than we better off to use our points after 5k

Morning all πŸ™‚ Can definitely see how this could be confusing! We'll do something to make it clearer but Tom is right - 5,000 points = Β£5 so everything else just builds up from there.

Hi guys!

When I look at another person's Profile I can hover over the badges to see what each one is.

But when I look at my Dashboard it doesn't explain what the badges are for.

And my memory is not so good!

Hi Sarah we'll work to clear up the dashboard a bit but as a workaround for now if you go to your own profile you can see what each of the badges do πŸ‘

Such a shame that Dread doesn't use LatestDeals anymore or at least hasn't posted in 21 days. :(

I check in now and again to see if it has got any better mate but the gaming section is just too awful to use. It is used as a way of saying if something is in stock, used as a price comparison site rather than posting good deals, full priced items up for pre orders and allows terrible sites like G2A to be posted. Finding a good deal in that minefield is hard.

Dread There are a lot of RRP posts which I agree, I'm essentially one of the few or only one right now that's avoiding to post that type of stuff since it's not a deal.

A Nintendo Switch for Β£198.50 was a deal, a Nintendo Switch for Β£279.99 is not.

Dread Yeah. The world is huge and I've been going around the map with the glider than doing the main missions. πŸ˜›

The Switch Pro Controller is a must with the Switch, imo. It feels pretty much like an Xbox One controller and that's an excellent point to make.

Hey TraceyCarter832 thanks for your message, I see you've made a fab start, voting on 11 things and commenting twice! You're well on your way to earning some great rewards. The fastest way to grow your points is to share deals, freebies, voucher codes and competitions.

Where do you shop? If, for example, you shop at ASDA, you could take a look at their special offers page, spot something you think is a great bargain, and post it on Latest Deals.

Tom tom i just had 11 amazon deals removed from my postings along with 1,100 points an hour ago , can you let me know why this has happened ?

It has never happened before

The reason is saying i am not varying my deals

They are all from amazon that i thought LD earns commission on ?, each deal is different and from different companies , so i cannot see what the problem is

If moderation are going to do this kind of thing without any warning i think it is a bit underhand

By all means remove one and let the member know they need to vary where they get the deals from otherwise more may be removed , but not eleven in one go !!!

thank you

telmel Thanks for your message. I am sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with Latest Deals. Your deal posts from Amazon went into moderation due to a lack of variety of retailers. We ask deal members to post deals from a variety of retailers. For example, Amazon, Argos, Currys, and Boots.

10 of the 11 posts have now been put back live and any points lost will have been re-gained. To avoid this problem going forwards it is good if you try and post from a variety of retailers, rather than just Amazon for deal posts.

If you have any further questions you can contact us via support email.

I apologise again that so many went into moderation and hope this helps to answer your question.

Tom Thanks tom, 9 deals have now been reinstated not 10

I actually thought i was doing LD a service posting Amazon deals , if you get commissions from them, i didnt realise this also applies to argos etc

I did post 3 argos deals today , but now i am unsure how to post deals in the future ?

Do i vary the deals daily , eg 2 amazon and i argos, or three argos one day and 3 amazon the next?

I really am unsure without flouting any rules

If you could clarify for me i would be grateful

thanks again

telmel Thank you for posting deals. As always, we'd encourage members to focus on the quality of a deal, rather than doing it just for points. There's no set numbers in this sense - the system just flags it up when it spots things. I'm sure if you post deals from a variety of retailers each week you'll be fine πŸ‘
