Living in the world we do i cannot see anything wrong with this
If i had a young son or daughter i would do everything to keep track of them and keep them safe
At least you would know where they were if out playing

Hmmm depends on what age they are to be honest think it's a fantastic idea but there's no way a teenager will be happy with this
Its not a bad idea especially for younger kids. We got our son a phone at Christmas (he's only 8) but we bought it as he goes out and plays around our area, which is a bit like a rabbit run with lots of little lanes and trees everywhere. For us it's purely for safety.
Them being used without someone's knowledge however is horrifying, the joys of technology!
Midnightflower Yes , i agree M, i read a story yesterday about a woman that was infatuated with a school teacher and got a private investigator to place a tracker on his car so she could follow him using her mobile
This type of thing is totally wrong, but if it is to protect your kids i think that is ok
They would be too young to realise what it was anyway if they found out , but i am sure they would be happy to know that they were being watched and looked after from a distance
My daughter used to have Life360 on her phone, she took it off recently, she's 17 now. Actually she was the one who created a family group on there, was definitely handy being able to monitor movements. Myself and my other half still use it, I go running a lot, just peace of mind x
A lot of people also put one in suitcases that are going in the holds of planes so you don't loose your luggage - top tip!
emmabeckz I hope the airlines don't try to stop this as it is a great idea to track your luggage
I know one airline has already banned them , i imagine it is because tracking it would show how incompetent they can be in losing luggage and where some of it ends up
It seems like a good idea initially but kids are pretty smart and would probably find a way round it anyway
If I were a young mum now I probably would. Children are exposed to so many dangers other than the obvious these days. I watched Without Sin and was shocked at how much freedom the kids of 14 had, and I daresay it is true to life.
Most ppl have “track my phone “ on the phones anyway so it’s just the same as that really . It would give parents peace of mind but the child may feel they aren’t trusted ! I suppose you could sit down and discuss with your child the importance of using such tracking devices and hopefully your child will understand it’s not that you don’t trust them but you don’t trust the world we live in !
