Why didn't my points change?

UPDATE FROM Tom - Please read this Chat thread for an answer to 'Why didn't my points go up?'
Left comments few times yesterday,applied for freebies,comps and got a great deal, but my points didn't change. 2 of comments posted just said "in a few seconds" after my name but nothing changed. New here,am I doing something wrong?

There's a limit to how many times per day a user gets points of X thing.

As Rockman kindly pointed out we've put limits on how often you can earn points per day - just to try and ensure quality over quantity! The commenting thing sounds like a different issue though as your message should appear.
Could you let me know what phone/computer/browser you're using? I'll see if I can work out if there's a bug I need to fix

Hi Kelsey, computer windows10,think browser Google. My 2 messages did appear,just said "in a few seconds" beside my name but I'd probably used my quota up. Still TRYING! to do basics on computer... Not a very "with it" Fraggle where technology is involved x
