They come in threes: St. Michael, the fighter. His picture shows wild strokes, such as he may have painted with his sword in the air. St. Gabriel, the messenger: Too fast, to hold on, only one wheel can be caught. St. Raphael, the healer: He does it in his own way, piece by piece, bit by bit. The healing process could be seen in this picture.

The three Archangels are presented with genuine 23 ct gold leaf of the Austrian Mint. The precious handmade paper comes from a traditional italian paper mill. A typical characteristic of it is the irregular edges. The format of each individual image is approximately 22 cm x 28 cm (~ 8,4 in x 11 in).

If you participate in this competition, you can win one of two sets with the three Archangels, similar as shown in the picture.

Wonnereich, founded in 2016 by Ulrike Rainer, makes minimalist images of saints by hand from the most exclusive materials. For the martyrs, for example, real, blood-red document ink is used, which is also handmadein Germany. Only the names are elaborately printed in a specially developed process, to take into account our digital age. "The reason for this was to bring the saints back into our lives, but with a fresh and modern look so they can do their work, awaken the spirit and sensitize for the beauty", she says.

The images in the WONNEREICH online-shop are customizable. Many motifs are available for a favorite patron or patroness, but since almost everything is handmade, there will always only be similar pictures, never two identical ones. On the back they are signed, and a certificate card is enclosed.
