Classical Spectacular - the UK's most popular classical music show returns to the Royal Albert Hall for a very special season of concerts between 21 – 24 March. This year is particularly special as the concert will be celebrating 30 years at the Royal Albert Hall.
From the very best classical music and state of the art technology to electrifying multi-coloured laser displays and famous thundering finale to the music of the 1812 Overture – the March 2019 season promises to be bigger and more thrilling than ever.
Stunning favourites include Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, Bizet’s Danse Boheme from Carmen, Verdi’s Grand March from Aida and Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Nabucco, Vaughan William’s The Lark Ascending, O soave fanciulla from La bohème, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule, Britannia, Jerusalem and many more.
Completing the line-up of over 200 musicians are the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Choral Society (Thurs & Sat), London Philharmonic Choir (Fri & Sun), star soloists Anna Patalong, Alexander James Edwards, violinist Thomas Gould, The British Imperial Military Band and the Muskets and Cannons of the Moscow Militia. Furthermore, no performance of Classical Spectacular would be complete without the thundering indoor firework finale, complete with muskets and cannons that provides a truly explosive climax to the 1812 Overture.
