We met WUKA’s founder, Ruby Raut, at a recent breakfast event, and were incredibly taken by her story. Her brand got its name because she believes that ‘Nothing should hold you back on your period.’ That wasn’t Ruby’s experience; she grew up in Nepal having to rely on her mum’s sari rags to deal with her periods, and was banished from her home whenever she was bleeding.
