I'm sorry but that looks like a fire hazard to me. I wouldn't risk having that in my home.
This, in theory, may be a smaller fire hazard than falling asleep with a phone on charge under your pillow or duvet. I use a power strip with a breaker to limit potential damage from a surge (that may lead to a spark too), i would expect this device to have it as well, and that would be safer than using lots of loaded with devices cord extensions that don't have a breaker. The product description just sparks a thought that the quality or functionality may not be top notch.
It's probably a good thing to make a rule for kids to not take phones to their room for the night, however not really useful unless you have several tablets and e-readers around, everyone uses their phone as an alarm clock, the smart watches are something you wear from the moment you leave the bed to the moment you get back into it (and some track your sleep so you can barely put them aside to charge.)
This looks cute but we don't all charge in same room normally and we shouldn't do it but always charge at night and need phones for alarms in the morning
