Nowadays most Alvarez guitars are made to exacting standards in China and distributed all over the world, bringing traditional building techniques, understated good looks and high quality control into the hands of players of all descriptions.

This AJ80CE-12 model is a Jumbo 12 string electro model from the Alvarez Artist range. This traditional and handsome acoustic has a solid A+ grade Sitka Spruce top to ensure a particularly strong and bright sound, perfect for jangling 12 string sounds.

Layered Maple is used for the back and sides. The large Jumbo body size and bright tonewoods particularly suit 12 strings and mean that this guitar really projects! It’s a very percussive sound too that’s perfect for strumming. Singer songwriters will really take to this.

It’s a clean and crisp look for this AJ80CE-12: a subtle inlay at the 12th fret of the fingerboard and a tasteful abalone rosette combine with a unique bridge shape and Ivory coloured multi-ply binding make up the quietly good looking visuals of this understated guitar.

The AJ80CE-12 has a Natural Gloss finish apart from the neck which has been thoughtfully given a semi-gloss finish to support easy hand movement.

Pickup-wise, Alvarez spoil us with an excellent LR Baggs Element pickup with a StagePro EQ built into the side of the body for easy on-stage adjustments. This guitar is ready for the stage!
