There are two main types of chair to choose between. Both types are easy to store and transport. We offer both transit wheelchairs and self-propelled wheelchairs. A transit chair is intended for short distances. There are handles on the back, enabling the chair to be pushed, usually operated by somebody other than the wheelchair user. A self-propelled chair can be operated by the wheelchair user, providing complete independence. Wheelchairs intended for outdoor and independent use, are usually more durable and built to withstand different environments.
