SaveMeSunday Listen, think of the cost of the INK, a Tank printer is the way forward, they maybe a bit more expensive, but you will recoup your money by the savings you make on the ink. The reason normal printers are cheap is because they make their money back on the ink. For example a cheap HP printer £50 the replacement ink costs £35 so if you print a lot you can easily spend £105 a year on just ink Bringing your total cost £155.00 , and then £105.00 every year on just ink after that. So in the end if you own your cheap HP printer for 5 years it has cost you a total of £575.00, not so cheap after all.......?

Anyone thinking of buying a new or replacement printer this year 2024, then a Tank Printer is the way forward, and the savings on ink are well worth the initial extra cost to buy one.

Much better to buy laser printer. Printer head clogs before even the ink is finished.

if you print in black and white, very very rarely, need a long lasting "legal acceptable" 10 year print lasting quality of finished work.. look into thermal printing

JonPiercy Thermal printing disappears in less than one year, forget 10 years. Many of my receipts from supermarkets which I keep as record for 3 year warranty, disappear after some time as thermal printed . Do you know some way to save them like lamination ?

samoflondon it is the paper that holds the 10 print, not the act of the heat on the paper. cheap paper for bus tickets and receipts fade fast, have a look on Google or Amazon and you will find the quality paper for thermal prints which will last 10 years for less than £20 per 200 sheets (which keep the print for 3 or 10 years)

T02 Adhesive White Thermal Printer Paper - 10 Years Mini Stickers Paper, Compatible with T02/M02/M02S/M03 Sticker Maker Printer, for Printing Photos, Text, Study Notes, DIY Stickers and More,3 Rolls amzn.eu/d/aZwkE9C

that's one example, there's plenty of others

either take better quality paper to the places you get your 3 year warranties from or copy the fresh proofs of purchase onto high quality paper, or take and store pictures with your phones camera 😎
