Fan heaters are not energy efficient. This one uses up to 1500kw!!!!

Most heaters are very efficient, in that they efficiently turn electrical energy into heat.

Generally the more powerful it is, the more heat it produces. Efficient doesn't necessarily equal cheap in this context - an efficient 1500w heater will cost more to run than the worst 500w heater, but would of course produce much more heat.

1500w will cost just over 50p an hour at the moment (@ approx 34p kWh)

Getting something fairly high power but with multiple settings might be the best option, you can vary your power usage / cost / heat output depending on what you need

SkyUK dry heat disappears very quickly as soon as it’s switched off the heat is lost. I have one and can verify this. However they are useful on odd occasions ie boiler breaks down or camping but definitely not as main heat source. For that you can’t beat the cost of running a gas boiler or a log burner
