ASOS confirmed that the ASOS Sample Sale website is a legitimate pop-up website where UK customers can buy a selection of ASOS items at sample sale prices but only for a limited time. So, no it’s not a 'scam'. It’s a legitimate site run by ASOS and the incredible deals are actually real.
ASOS also confirmed that asossamplesale.com/ has a selection of over 2,000 women's and men's products from ASOS-owned brands like ASOS Design and ASOS Edition, all available for £5 each, with a discount of up to 90% off.
The site is a competitor for other discount clothing sites such as Everything5Pounds, which have proved a hit with shoppers looking for cheap fashion items.
But, why have ASOS launched such a cheap site and why are so many items on sale? Turns out, it’s pretty simple. A spokesperson for ASOS explained: “The site is part of ASOS’ plans to right-size its stock portfolio, as announced at full-year results in October 2022.
