This looks like excellent value. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Going to put my order in right now.
Hi AdamAustin68572 - please see my post below. This type of heater aren't particularly cheap to run, but provide a lot of heat in the air quickly (which may or may not stay nearby, depending on how insulated the area is)
I think it`s good if it really doesn`t use too much energy... Thanks for sharing this deal.
This fan could come in handy, great for just switching on for a quick warm thanks for sharing your deal with us today
Looks cheap for a 2kw heater, thanks
For those looking to buy this, please remember that efficient doesn't necessarily mean cheap... You see lots of reviews on this type of thing with people complaining 'it's expensive to run, not efficient' but they're misunderstanding. Efficient just means that for 1 unit of energy you put in, you get close to 1 unit of heat out
Look at the power of the unit to determine cost, and think of this separately to 'efficiency' as many heaters are very efficient
This is 2kw power, so at current prices at full power this would cost about 56p per hour to run, or at 4 hours would be £2.24 a day, or £67 a month!
This also only warms the air, which can be lost quickly if you don't have a well insulated home, so when you turn it off it'll get cold quickly again
If you are trying to stay warm for as little cost as possible, concentrate on heating yourself, not the room. A heated throw can be a good option, they're usually around 150watts (or 0.15 kw), which on maximum setting would cost around 4.2p per hour to run (less than 17p for 4 hours a day, or around £5 a month - huge difference), and if you get an insulated / fluffy one, it'll retain some heat and likely not need to be on the highest setting for long, even less to run and keep you warmer
This obviously only heats you, not the room, which takes much less energy but you'll feel it more. I'm not an expert but am always conscious that having some heat across your house helps avoid damp / mold, so a mix might be best
SkyUK some good advice thank you for sharing. Great to heat up room I'm working in before central heating kicks in
NadineBarrett thanks for the reply. I often wonder if my rambles are useful or not so appreciate the feedback (and the likes I've got on the post)
