What a fantastic idea as I recently had bother trying to get my son's bus pass as they wanted a passport or driver's license to prove he was 18 which is crazy as not every 18 year old has these. I will definitely look into this. Thank you for sharing with us.
Num1Dad91 ...So did I spent my 21st birthday having to get others to get my drinks after a member of bar staff didn't believe my age..
Fast forward nearly 6 years & a month before my 27th birthday,my friend & I were refused drinks in a pub in Sheffield, we had been served on the Friday but when we went back on the Sunday the landlord refused to serve us til my friend challenged him. He served us but said we had to bring ID next time we were in his pub so we did at the time my friend was turning 20 the following month on May 8th & I was turning 27 on May 24th!!
Our Daughter looks young for her age, many a time her Da & I have been asked her age,she has always carried her ID cos she knows what I went through, someone told me only last week that she only looks about 16 in some of the photos I was showing. Our daughter turns 24 in September so yes this would have saved a lot of hassle for my daughter,my friend & I...
There great for nights out and shop ids saves taking a passport or driving licence just in case you loose it there a lot harder to replace
Read it's not recognized in a lot of places and it's only valid for three years? They can keep it.
I've got my Provisional Driver's License for ID (so I don't need to have the passport with me at all times).
There's always a catch with "free" stuff.
Also, this is discrimination:
"Please note that you must be aged 18 to 24 to claim"
Shame on them.
MrsPacker might as well get a Provisional Driver's License as they recognize it unlike this.
