Free Registration to Zipcar (Normally £19)

I just joined Zipcar.co.uk, the car sharing / renting site for free. Normally, the registration costs £19.

Until the end of December, they're doing a limited time only free-joiner's promotion.

You can then access cars across the country, and drive them for an hourly fee. Driving the cars does cost money.

WARNING - You will be charged after the first 12 months. Once your first year is finished, you will be automatically charged for the second year. At present, this is £6 p/month (which is applied as driving credit). Put a note in your diary to cancel a month before.

P.S. When you register you have to give three photographs of your driver's license:

• Front of the driver's license
• Back of the driver's license
• Photo of you holding the driver's license

I recommend signing up on your phone, because it's much easier to upload photos straight from that device than by the computer.
