500W is very low. I bought a small goblin hand vacuum from Asda less than a year ago for £25 and that is over 700W. My old Hoover vacuum is 3000W. Looks quite small too, probably suitable for a flat but could be slow progress for larger home and emptying and cleaning filters may be very frequent.
I actually thought it would be good for my older aged parents to use, as it's lightweight and they only have a two bedroom property. They have a cat so will be useful for them to manage Gandalph's hair
nicenurse21 Sounds ideal actually, my only thought is the Hoover vacuums are fairly low end so that 500W motor isn't going to be super efficient so will be more like the older style motors. I find the lower the wattage of the motor the more critical it is to keep emptying it and cleaning the filters. I've got a basic cordless vacuum an works great for a short while but as soon as its half full or the filters are slightly clogged it drops to about 1/3rd suction. I have a fondness for the old super high wattage vacuums that can no longer be sold that can deliver extreme suction after emptying/cleaning and still perform well when half full.
That looks great! Thank you for sharing. I’ve been looking for a new hoover and this looks like it fits the bill
