The prices and quality of halogen heaters vary enormously. You can get cheaper than this, but you definitely get what you pay for, and this one is good value and highly rated. The integral carry handle is useful too, many don't have one. If you do go for a cheaper one, check the reviews carefully first!

Halogen heaters are jolly handy for some instant heat in a chilly conservatory, shed or garage, or when you just need to use one room for a bit and keep warm.

Whilst they do have a Safety Tip Over Switch, they are lightweight and easy to push over. So if you have very young kids or a clumsy dog I'd say get something else.
