To get Meerkat Meals you have to be a customer of Compare The Market and have a qualifying product:

Remember, you can buy Car Insurance from just a couple of pounds on Compare The Market (if you get a day pass) so it's really a bargain. Works out quite a bit cheaper than TasteCard!
One trick is to search for a single day's worth of travel insurance in the UK. This can cost just £1-£2. You can then get all the benefits of Meerkat Movies and Meerkat Meals!

tastecard has free (3/6mths) trial offer pretty often. and right after the trial end (even before it end) you could add the new trial code. so why do you need to spend £2? i've been tastecard holder for 2years without spent any penny.
ClaraCooper tastecard plus is incl in the trial. not only cinemas offer, you can also get disc to many other attraction place, i.e 44% to drayton manor, legoland, hotels, etc
I managed to get the Meerkat 2-for-1 cinema tickets deal for a year by buying travel insurance for one day for a trip to London! Brilliant☺

garygemmell I think last time I did an insurance policy for a one day short journey, the policy cost me £3 or near to it; meaning I got the movies for a year only by spending £3 ish
No way!? Can existing customers get it? I never use my cinema tickets deal as we all squeeze in at kids club £1.50 seats

Anyone know if the selection of restaurants with this is identical to if you have a Tastecard ?
no it is not, almost the same. tastecard has more deals and some deals valid on weekend. but with meerkats, they only do Mon-Thurs even for the same restaurants. i,e with TasteCard you can have 2-4-1 on any day except Saturday. with Meerkat it is only on Mon - Thurs, you cant use it on Friday and Sunday. No use for me as i only go eat out on weekend
I have meerkats movies but the app is saying I can't use the meals as I don't have a membership

Has anyone ever used the meals thing before? I’ve had mine about 9 months but never used it. if I go out with 3 other people (4 total) does it work for 2 free people or only 1 person per sitting? Also, is it starters mains AND deserts or just one of them? Sorry if i sound thick.

This really is a fab deal. So worth check the restaurant for if you're eating out somewhere to see if it's included!
If I purchase main meals for the kids aswell as mains for my wife and me. Does the 2for1 still work.
As it states it excludes children's meals.
