A photograph taken after the Trooping of the Colour in June 2015 has inspired what will become an iconic image of the royal family.

Sculpted by modeller Neil Welch, the limited edition of 1000 figure, Future Kings, portrays Their Royal Highnesses Charles, Prince of Wales, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince George of Cambridge.

The three generations of Royal princes, all in line to succeed to the British throne, were together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Royal Airforce Flypast after attending the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 2015. The Trooping the Colour Parade is held in honour of the monarch s official birthday and the gathering of more than 1400 officers, 200 horses and 10 bands also allows the sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II to inspect her troops.

The Prince of Wales (67 years) and the Duke of Cambridge (32 years) are dressed in ceremonial uniform after riding on horseback during the parade but Prince George aged two steals the show! Waving at the royal fans and onlookers gathered in The Mall around the Victoria Memorial outside the gates to Buckingham Palace, George s innocence and the proud expressions on his father s and his grandfather s faces make this a heartening and endearing study. George s baby-blue and lace romper suit was first worn by his father, William, in 1984, when he too appeared on the balcony in his father s arms after the Trooping of the Colour that year.
