We moved onto this app after the messenger stopped working with wwf. It's full of annoying features and really not worth the time when anyone can pay to use cheats. The original scrabble app was better but it lost the support.
Another downside to the new scrabble app is that you have to log in with Facebook and there is no way to play if you don't have an account or don't want to use private information.
We played Scrabble together as a family for the first time. I'd played as a child but not played again for years but as soon as I saw the little letter tiles it all came flooding back to me. And what great fun it was too! We had some lively discussions about whether words were spelt right and whether they were allowed in the rules. It was great to see my boys playing a game which also made them think about their spelling rules and vocabulary. The highlight was being able to use the Z tile, although we couldn't quite manage to get to the extra points square too. The Q unfortunately didn't make it to the board! This is a game that all ages can join together and play. We'll definitely be getting it out at Christmas time to play with three generations. This is a classic game and it's appeal lasts forever. If you haven't played for a while, give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

I know this is a good deal but if you tend to not have time for a full game in one go - this set is useless.
Instead, just spend some more on the travel set, you can close the board and all tiles stay in place, it's very easy to turn the board around at the table so each player has a good view and the tiles don't move. We used to play in the car before now we make a move and leave it for the next person when they have time (similar to the app version).
If we had to sit down to play, we would never be able to play. The downside is that the tiles are smaller than in the regular set so may be hard for those with worse eyesight.
Or with arthritis or poor fine motor skills. No point buying just to never use it.

the classic games are the best and this is educational,great price,those letters have even made it into the crafting world as you can buy them now in the works etc.
