Keep your kids entertained this summer half term with some of these ideas for family days out. You'll find a range of different cheap deals or free activities such as the cinema, woodlands, theme parks and many more. There's something for everyone no matter what they enjoy doing, plus these prices won't break the bank!

If you want to more free activities in your area, make sure to check out your local libraries, leisure centres, parks, farms or your local council's website. These should let you know of any events taking place near you.

Cineworld Family Favourites - Adults pay kids prices / family films from £2.50

You can get a Cineworld Family Ticket which allows adults to pay kids' prices at Cineworld. It's valid for groups of four with up to two adults. Cineworld also have their Movies For Juniors deal, which offers screenings of family films from just £2.50 per ticket. This is applicable for both kids and adults!

Tennis For Free - Free local coaching sessions

If you check out the Tennis For Free website, you can search for free coaching sessions in your area. They offer free tennis sessions for ages 12+ across public parks nationwide and you can book online if there are any near you.

Woodland Trust - Free woodland walks

With the Woodland Trust, you can explore a wood with the kids and enjoy an adventure in nature. They're free to visit and you can do activities of your choice, such as a scavenger hunt, spotting wildlife or a picnic in the sun. The Woodland Trust also have different events on so check these out if you're looking for something more specific.

2 for 1 Theme Parks - 2 for 1 with a National Rail train ticket

When you register with Days Out Guide and buy a train ticket with National Rail, you can get 2 for 1 entry across more than 80 UK attractions and theme parks. These include Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Legoland Windsor and many more. Choose your attraction on Days Out Guide and your 2 for 1 code will be generated, which you can copy and use on the attraction's website. Enter it when you book two tickets online and you'll then need to show these, plus a valid train ticket for the same day upon entrance.

Tenpin Tuesdays - Half price bowling and selected drinks

You can get 50% off bowling and selected drinks at Tenpin every Tuesday. In the school holidays, this offer is available after 6pm and valid on adult and junior bowling prices. The price for adults starts from £3.51 and juniors from £2.80. It's recommended that you book online so check to find your local Tenpin.

Kids Week London Theatre - Kids go free to West End shows

You can get a free child ticket for those aged 17 and under to more than 30 different West End shows. This is available with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket. Usually this offer is only valid for shows in August but it's been extended to include selected shows from 17th - 31st July. Check out the website to see which shows and dates are available.

Free Dayz Out - Free kids activities with a Heinz product

Kids can get free entry to over different 2,700 venues and activities when you buy a promotional Heinz product. Check the website to see what's available in your area and claim the offer by purchasing a marked promotional item. Enter the batch number online by 31st October at 11.59pm. Free Sport Session - With £30 in store spend at Aldi

You can get a voucher to try a free sports session of your choice when you spend £30 in store at Aldi. Whether your child wants to try hockey, martial arts or cycling, Aldi are giving them the chance to try it out for free! When you've spent £30, ask to receive a voucher with your unique code. You can then redeem it online and choose the sport, location and time.

Discounted Theme Parks - With your Tesco Clubcard points

If you've been saving up Tesco Clubcard points, you can convert these into vouchers which can be used on many theme parks and wildlife parks. A lot of these will offer you twice the vouchers' face value to use on tickets. For example, 50p in points will provide you with £1 worth of vouchers. You can choose from favourites such as Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Chessington World of Adventures, Drayton Manor and more.
